do fur savers work, if so (like many other things) its the technology, not the brand correct? the big long "hotdog type hoops" is what doesnt destroy the hair right?. how much do they cost?, did u pay for yours?

Supa,
I use them to trial in and that is it.
My dogs wear their choke collars all the time with no hair breakage except on one as she is blowing
her coat right before her heat cycle starts. The fursavers, if left on all the time, absolutely break fur.

yeah i bought one, just cause i have a problem with buying stuff in the dog store, but when i was wanting one i saw them online for like 30 bucks, i found mine here much less, so i was thinking about buying a couple just because, when i did use regular chocker on my girl just for walks it tore her neck hair up, hour glass looking, i use a harness now because of it

My dogs are on fur savers and choke collars.
I'll switch them up every now and then.
I don't see them loosing any fur on either. They cost around 25-30 USD.
Hope this helps. Take care

I have never seen a fur saver leave a ring of broken hair around their neck. Regular chokes are terrible for leaving that ring around the neck. Although they are not good training collars as they don't give enough correction.

If walking dog, there on the dead ring.

Mine lost neck fur just as badly with the fur saver. I prefer the half-choker, that works really well so long as the collar is kept tight.

@runag, how long does it take to grow back

Fursavers look cool but just like anything else your dog has to have a break from it. I try and leave my dog with no collar as much as possible.
