I am looking for a head shot of a shepherd for a logo for my rescue. Something like this (copied from internet so cant use)

Full view (with ears) would be nice. Here is the business card so you can see where the pic will go. Right now I am out of work so cannot pay but I can reference you if someone wants to buy a puppy or if you have a vet looking for a dog. Thanks Barb

Here's an idea- not sure if it's a good one or not!
If you have a favourite head shot of a GSD then I can use my "cartoonize" program to turn it into a cartoon for you. You need an image that isn't too busy for the effect to work best (ie. a relatively simple background).
There are many different effects available- I could do a few and then you could select the one you want.
You can see an example where I "cartoonized" a photo of Martin and Bosco tracking and I made it into a t-shirt.

Bhaugh, similar to laura271's suggestion, if you have Photoshop or a similar program [or know someone who does], you can also take a simple head shot photo of one of your own dogs and use the effects feature of the program to convert it to a stylized reproduction that no longer looks like an actual photo. I'll post a few examples later when I get back to my desktop machine.

Lady Frost drew a head of my boy. I was the fortunate one to have her do it for me... She did an amazing job, maybe she can help you out .. I hope I did not throw her under the bus.

Photoshop cheap? Hardly.
I do have it, however, and would be glad to help you out, gratis.
Edited to add: You need to select what you'll use very carefully, since you want it sized for a business card--when you get into line drawings that contain a lot of detail, it can get very 'muddied' in appearance when it's reduced to that small an image.

Photoshop sure isn't cheap, but for what you want, can be done on GIMP, which are free to download. I have photoshop, but haven't learned how to do everything with it well yet. I've had paint, picasa, pixresizer and GIMP much longer and know how to use them better, those are all free and each has something it's really good for.

Well I found Gimp and boy do I need to read the manual. So as I tripped a bit, I got this pic after I found a program that would convert the pic to sketch. Oh and thanks Hexe for offering Photoshop. Can you tell me how I would make it tranparent if I wanted to use it as a background?

I am looking for a drawing of an alert, sitting German Shepherd, like the dog was ready to chase a frisbee. I want to engrave it on the back of my husband's stone marker, which I am ordering now. Anyone know of such an image?
