Jantie, I was not aware of the East German hip selection program before the unification of Germany. That was very interesting reading. Your bedtime story for your daughter was very touching. I too wish all a happy holiday season and the best for 2007!

Hello Sunshine! Lisa is still very much disturbed about what happened to Indiana. These stories sometimes help her out. She was also very shocked to read on this very database, how her dad was being called a "murderer", especially after what we had done for Indy. I have been in contact only yesterday night with a Dutch lady. On a discussionboard overhere, I had followed her story about her GSD with HD. She had decided to have him operated, and reported regularly on that board (over the course of several months). But things went completely wrong, and finally the dog had to be put to sleep. I am so sorry for the lady AND for her beautidul dog. But I am also happy I saved Indy from that pain.
