Came across this article earlier and thought it would be fun to share:
Officers became exasperated when prosecutors asked for an account of a crime from a ‘PC Peach’, not realizing Peach was the name of a police dog.
So they completed the form as if it had been written by the alsatian, and signed it with a paw print.
The dog’s statement read: ‘I chase him. I bite him. Bad man. He tasty. Good boy. Good boy Peach.’

Peach the police dog files witness statement: 'Bad man. He tasty'
Police are under investigation for jokingly filling in a witness statement in the name of a force dog.Officers became exasperated when prosecutors asked for an account of a crime from a ‘PC Peach’, not realizing Peach was the name of a police dog.
So they completed the form as if it had been written by the alsatian, and signed it with a paw print.
The dog’s statement read: ‘I chase him. I bite him. Bad man. He tasty. Good boy. Good boy Peach.’

And now an agency is actually expending the money to investigate this???
Ridiculous. Besides, the Supreme Court of the US just upheld the use of a properly-trained narcotics canine's response to 'free air' scenting outside of an individual's vehicle as probable cause to search said vehicle...so why can't the UK acknowledge PC Peach's 'statement' of what happened, from the dog's point of view? Just because he needed the assistance of a human in order to inscribe it on the form? Hardly fair, that...Peach has no opposable thumb, so he can't hold the pen without help; a minor disability that requires nothing more than reasonable accomodation!
If I lived in the West Midlands district, I'd be pretty annoyed at how my taxes were being spent on such an investigation...

I do think he has an unfortunate name, for a male dog...would expect a dog named Peach to be a female.

My thoughts on seeing this, I was with Hexe on it - farcical to spend ANYTHING
on an 'investigation'. CPS need their collective heads read.
To WestMids
Dog Section for a good laugh !
