Hey all
On all the pedigree pages there is now a new button "Reverse Pedigree" that shows in a graphical manner the progeny of the dog.
Example: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/pedigree.childtree?dogid=520514
And, if you haven't seen the frontpage and the activity section then go ahead and take a look at the bottom of the frontpage. Also accessible (with more records) under Prefs -> site activity
Hope you like the new additions.

Isn't that a great tool, well done Oli, thanks for the creativity

Thanks,
I like the idea of being able to see immediately which of the offspring is the best/proficient producer. Since this is rendered in real-time (with real-time data) it needs to be fairly fast. But I am trying to find a good way to color code the lines so that the dog with the most offspring will be more noticable by the coloration of the progeny line. If I can do that and keep the data work within a second or two, I will add it.

Did some changes.
It will now only show 2 or 1 generation depending on the the total number of progeny. Added some color coding to help traverse the descendants
* Red lines indicate more registered progeny (also black stroke instead of grey around the circle).
* Click a circle to expand/collapse a node.
* Click the name to view that dogs reverse pedigree.
* Pink fills indicate a female and blue a male.
* To view the actual pedigree page, click the dogs name then the header which has the name/link.
So in theory you can view a dog born around 1900 and traverse his progeny to current day as long as you click the names of dogs with a red line (indicating more progeny)
I really like this feature, glad I managed it.

Just a FYI..
There was a conflict that made the lines appear very jagged. It's fixed now so that the reverse pedigree looks much nicer (for those with Chrome or Firefox)

Extremely beautiful, reminds me of Galaxy images. Moreover it is a very handy tool for pedigree scholars, good work should be acknowledged, thank you Oli
