Is  it still possible to train a dog aged 11 months in Obedience and Protection ?

Probably;  but it depends on whether you know what you are doing.

Unless you are asking could a Dog Trainer, not you, start off with the pup being 11
months old already ?

Sorry but I could not work out what you meant by :  "My dog doesn't take care
when he was young 'cos there is no time".   Perhaps you are trying to explain
that you had the puppy but no time to put into training him, while he was younger
and you ought to have been starting his training sooner ?   Or maybe you just got
this dog  as an older puppy, and he knows nothing because previous owners have
not put any time into training him ?

In any case, the best way I could begin to answer you would be to say that my
own current male was 17 months and had very little basic training when he came
to live with me.  He now has Silver Good Citizen,  and knows all the basic Ob
moves plus some Retrieve and Track.  I do not do Protection work with him though.

I also had a bitch who I adopted at three and a half years;  she had been a Show
Dog, and only knew a few basics, but she too got her Good Citizen award and was
an Obedience competitor for some years.

Others would advise you about suitability for bitework, but yes  IMO certainly it is possible
to  " teach an old(er) dog new tricks "  !    ; )

If you are asking if you can start obedience and protection work at 11months the answer is yes.  Now if your dog has what it takes to do the protection part is a different story.  I would suggest getting with the nearest schutzhund club and going to visit with your dog.  They will be able to evaluate him and give you a good idea of his drives and his nerves.  GOOD LUCK!

I know of at least 2 breeders that do very little if any training with their dogs until they are 10 months and then ship them to Germany for training and titles. They come back "trained" but I wouldn't do it.

Yes most dogs can learn obedience at any age,  and learning protecion would depend on your dog's temperament. If he has the drives and confidence, he can be learn.

You will need help with an experienced trainer.
