Owner surrender! Rot in hell, owner. May your karma come and bite you in the ass, sooner rather than later! brought in today, euth eligible today. WTF is wrong with people??? Its almost like humanity has been replaced by pods, like in the body snatchers.
YELLOW animals are those animals who were nervous, actively resisted
examination, and required the use of restraint equipment or techniques, but did
not exhibit aggressive behaviors.
This throw-away society is really bringing me down. If people cant return love to the only source of unconditional love in the world, how can they possibly love and care about their fellow human beings?????? How is this world ever to be a better place? What will it take to make people realize live animals are not like stuffed animals- you cant just put them away when you are done playing with them. Why dont people call rescues before just bringing their dog to a shelter? This dog is highly adoptable, so with just a little effort, he could have been safe. Instead, they opened the lid of the garbage pail, and threw him in :( The NYACC is one of the worst shelters into which a dog can be placed. People in NY have been raising the roof over their kill numbers, and from what I have heard, it is far worse then the numbers to which they admit. It is worse than depressing....

I'm about 8 hours from Manhattan, and if someone can take him part way, I'm sure it will work!
That picture looks like a painting almost, and he looks SO SAD!
He resembles old photos I've seen of the original Rin Tin Tin.

I will be heading to W. Virginia on Tuesday to pick up the female rescue in Buckhannon, but am not sure if I could manage two dogs of unknown temperament in the back of my SUV at the same time (even if they are both crated).

I happen to have a cousin in Long Island I haven't seen in ages, and this would be a good excuse to drive down there to see her. I am no stranger to long drives.
If you can get him out of ther alive, and get someone to foster for a couple of days, we can do this!
