I am aware that some White Swiss Shepherd breeders display pedigrees of their dogs by using links back to Pedigree Database (including myself) so may wish to check their own website links.
I recently checked the PDB links on my website to find they were all incorrect / had changed and brought up pedigrees of coloured GSD's.
I do not know when this change happened and do not know if it has anything to do with the new look format of the PDB but in any case I changed my links to display the correct pedigrees for my dogs and I will continue to monitor them on my site.
What I was wondering about was if these links were incorrect for my dogs what about the various other links that users of the PDB place in their posts pointing towards particular dogs lines with health problems etc. (I am now thinking of any breed). I often see links mentioned in older posts and now wonder if they relate to the correct dog.
Maybe this post needs to be moved to all breeds?

Sue, can you provide example links of this?

Hi
I would have said no as I have already changed them but I remembered I still had an older website with some links on back to PDB so I looked there and found only this one to be incorrect.... Strange but here is the example..
on my old website link is:
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/dogs/white_shepherd/pedigree/542070.html
link shows this dog ... http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/dog.html?id=542070
Hope this helps

Sorry, that's entierly my fault. When I did the modifications to the website I had to join two seperate databases (GSD's and Other breeds). Most of the entries where using the same primary ID. So I had to re-assign new id's to the dogs in the Multiple breeds so I could join all the data in a single table.
That is why you are now getting completely different dogs. This was a one-time action that happened in August 2012 (won't happen again). It was data cleanup from a design decision I did aournd 2008 that in retrospect wasn't that clever..
(not that not all dog had this problem, only a subset).

Thank you Oli for making it clear what had happened.
It was simple enough to change the links and I was not going to mention it as I am only too pleased to be able to use your database, it was only when I was reading an old post with a link inserted I thought maybe I should.
