Kalibeck

Apparently due to health reasons, first time in 600 years. Good for him, he had the personal integrity to step down, rather than become a shadowy figure hidden behind the curtains of the Vatican City, & protected from the public by the Vatican, during his decline. That will help the Church avoid stagnancy. I'm not a Catholic, but I still think this was a step toward modern day transparency, & away from secrecy. jackie harris

Maybe he's just tired of living a lie.
The church is falling apart by their own hand and they know it.

Wasn't it KTF that mentioned in some thread, that she was surprised no one here had pinned a conspiracy theory to the dear old Popes  resignation?  Well here ya go. ;)

The Catholic Church itself is based on conspiracy, and the abuse is their way of life.
There are many secrets within the church that would outrage all people if made public.

I didn't watch the entire 27 minutes of that clip, but this is no prophecy being fulfilled.  The man he mentioned is a false prophet; True prophecy no longer occurs and for a reason.  Consider back in "Biblical days" if you will. In the times of the Old Testament they prophesied of things from certain cities beint destructed, even how; Even Jerusalem's destruction was prophesied; The prophecies of the Messiah were throughout parts of the Old Testament as well, and so on and so on. Those were fulfilled, and until the first century there were still prophecies. But any later than that? Not at all.  Paul writing to the Church of Corinth mentions many of the Spiritual gifts (which only the Apostles could bestow on someone in the 1st century days; These were done for multiple reasons. Prophesy in order to both edify the Church and show revelation since the written word was not yet complete. Other gifts like tongues....Not gibberish like people who claim to speak in tongues today, but tongues that were of other languages that the people didn't even know how to speak before the gifts were put on them....  And so on and so on) that were given.  1 Corinthians 13:8-10 explains why we no longer have "Spiritual gifts" like prophecy, tongues, miracles, etc.  Those were things done "in part" to reveal;  For one because they did not yet have the entire revelation. Remember the letter to Corinth was written a few decades before the written word was complete (Revelation was most likely written around 94-96AD, I can explain why that is in another post) In the 10th verse he mentions that when the perfect comes (as in the complete Revelation) the partial will be done away (referring to Spiritual gifts and signs. Those things would no longer be necessary.  And the perfect cannot be Christ's second coming or Heaven because faith and hope would note abide then. Recall from the Scriptures that both faith and hope are dealing with things we have not seen) with.

I am baffled though at how people claim the Catholic Church is "the Church", and even more the idea of the pope and how so many glorify him. He's just a man. This is never found in the Scriptures, the idea of doing any of that. A man that the world pretty much glorifies and he is the one to provide the knowledge to everyone? Many don't read the Scriptures because they claim it's the Pope's responsibility to tell them what it says. Not all abide in that teaching today, but many have and that again is not found in Scripture.  None of the Apostles were "Popes" as some today try to assert.  Not to mention how many of these Churches are not following what the Apostles taught in the Churches; We realize through the Scriptures the importance of all of these things. Recalling through Jesus teachings how if we love him we keep His commandments; How the things the Apostles would say would be binding (Matth 16:19, 18:18); Realizing that the Holy Spirit would guide the Apostles into "all the truth", and bring remembrance to "all things" (John 16:12-15) that Jesus had taught them. We also realize through 1 Cor 4:17 that the things Paul's ways were in Christ, and that they were taught everywhere, in every Church; And even through 1 Cor 14:37 how the things that Paul wrote were the Lord's commandments.  I might mention other "teachings" (dealing with things in the Catholic Church or others) today that aren't seen in Scripture, things that are not authorized because even that within itself was condemned (other teachings).    Galatians 1:6-9 "I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!"  Even in 2nd John, John goes to the point of mentioning if one does not abide in the teachings of Christ that he does not have God.    Some of the passages in Scripture (not necessarily the ones I mentioned) dealt with the upcoming apostasy; Or some with gnosticism; Or the "antichrist"....Not a literal Antichrist figure that will be a supreme leader like people say is going to happen today, the Scripture doesn't teach that; An antichrist is just one who denies Christ came in the flesh.  But there are other examples written in Scripture of those who had perverted the teachings of Christ. The Apostles stated that it was Christ's Church, the teachings they taught were of Christ, but through many false teachings and many adding things not seen in Scripture.....You end up with a whole shlew of denominations today....and mass confusion on "what's right". Instead of the Church of Christ (not to state it as a "name", just the Church that abides in the teachings of Christ is what I mean).

I say burn it all down and redistribute the wealth back to the people.
Publicly stone the pedophiles to death.
And find the guy in the video and put him out of his misery as well.
