Hello, I am hoping for some advise.....
I have a six month female shepherd who is doing quite well with basic obedience. She is showing good watch dog ability - or am I reading her wrong? I must go away for 12 days and am thinking about having her into someone elses home for further training. Is this good or bad?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

You're going to need to be more specific with describing the behavior referred to as "watchdog" behavior. As far as the other person doing training: 12 days is not really very long for an average 6 month old pup to learn much. You need to be clear and realistic about what you expect from the other person and your pup. It really depends on you, your pup, and of course the third party.
Best of luck to you-
