Please Help My Puppy! - Page 1

Hi Everyone, I have a female working line pup who was born on August 28/2012, I fed her a raw diet up until about a month ago, she was not doing well on this diet so i switched her to kibble.
Well her condition has not improved.
She is underweight by far, and i am concerned about her growth being stunted as well.
I have wormed her a few times, i have tried, TOTW, Acana, And now i am trying Natures Domain Salmon, Since i have put taken her off the raw diet she does not want to eat, i have mixed the kibble with canned food, hamburger,fish, you name it and i have probably tried it. She just does not want to eat, unless its raw!
I also add Vitamin E, and Green Min to my dogs diets.

Can someone please give me some tips on what you would try.

Have you taken her to the vet?

Her Appt is Monday Feb 4

Ask the vet if they have any suggestions in the meantime. 

I would think at this point, if all she will eat is raw, give her raw; at least until you get her in the vet. 

I agree with fawndallas, at least she'd get nutrition

Please get her to the vet. If her poops are runny then ask the vet to run a TLI test for EPI.

What exactly were you feeding her when you were feeding raw? Was she getting organ meat, as well as bone in addition to the muscle meat? How much were you feeding her? I agree with the other posters- put her back on raw until you go to the vet. Have you tried mixing some raw in with the kibble? In what way was she not doing well on the raw? Not gaining? Poor coat? Poor stools? Low energy? 

what was worng when she was on raw?  and as someone else said waht exactly were you feeding her for her raw diet?

My new little girl is the same way. She is a spoiled little brat, "that wants what she wants",and that is raw and cooked ground turkey.
She was looking thinner than I like, so I tried adding some high protein puppy food for her, she won't hear of it.
I tried mixing them together, she picks out the good stuff, and leaves the rest.
When I come back from the store, she wants to ransack the grocery bags, to be sure I didn't forget her.
So, she gets what she likes.
How is her energy? My little girl has. A grand old time running around, but she still looks thinner than I like, but it is obvious she feels great.
Sometimes pups just carry their weight differently than what we expect, and nothing is wrong.
I hope you too, just have a spoiled pup,with nothing wrong.
As others said, feed her the raw til you get to the vet.
