I saw this dog for sale and by the initial videos he looked great.

Wow I thought great price for a really nice looking dog.

Then i saw this... and I havent been able to get this dog out of my mind. Ive tried to remind myself that a medical condition could have caused this but its hard to think that other than EPI or ?, the condition of this dog would be so dramatic. The owner states that he imported the dog, so does anyone have experience with the dog and know what he was like before the second video was taken?

To be fair to the owner, I sent him an email but havent received a response. The owner states hot spots but really??? The dog looks misrable. My little mangey dog looks better than that.

Couldn't get your second link to work.  Dog in the first lot of vids looks so
healthy, purely speculating on the other picture(s), its unlikely he has EPI,
surely,  unless it was sudden onset after maturity.  Can that be ??

I copied the link into my browser and got it to come up.

Thanks guys, seen 2nd one now.  Yes that is a detioration in condition,
isn't it.   Hard to see a happy, sleek n solid dog now looking skinny and
unkempt.  So do ppl think EPI could present like this ?
He certainly isn't as thin as dogs with EPI - or suspected EPI - that I have
set eyes on, though I'm certainly not well-aquainted with the ins & outs
of the problem.  Is there any way of knowing if he has been tested ?
I ask about the sudden onset because the only cases I have any knowledge
of have all been in young dogs, who while not yet so obviously in failing health
pre-diagnosis, have not been 'good doers',  have always had some bowel
problems etc, all along.  Whereas the change in this lad seems very dramatic.

he looks as a starved dog, his owner is worry because his fur but if I were him I  would feed the dog with meat, milk and i would add calcium. I would take him out to play with other dogs. The poor dog seem to be very anxious.

this dog was for sale for $350 a couple weeks back, I had inquired about him, and all of a sudden the owner said he was getting offers much more than that, and that he was taking the highest offer. I asked if he had ever been xrayed or DM tested, he said no. just FYI    In the second "present condition" video he appears very cow-hocked too. and seems to not put much weight on his R hind leg.

I would most definitely get this dog tested for EPI ASAP. Heres a small basic chart that I put together.

I also question why is this dog so anxious? Does this dog get any social time at all or is he stuck in that kennel all day long? Perhabs the reason why he has sores on him is because hes extremely bored.

He seems to have gone from a very happy outgoing dog to a very anxious dog. I didn't like the 'way' he was eating his food if anyone understands what I mean. EPI can onset at virtually any age as far as I know. I have known dogs of 4yrs and 7yrs suddenly develop it, out of the blue. Of course it isnt out of the blue, the pancreas is atrophying steadily over a period of time, but there comes a tipping point when it fails to do the job any more, and the weight just falls away as the body cannot obtain the nourishment.  The body will start to take protein from wherever it can in the body, including  the muscles which could account for the dog now appearing to be cow hocked as the muscles atrophy. EPI can also give a dog a  very anxious demeanour as they are typically, to all intents and purposes trying to stave off starvation..

It could also be attributable to a number of other issues.  Very sad to see a beautiful dog go downhill so badly. Poor boy. Hope that someone buys him that can solve his problems.
