Just an idea for admin and Oli to consider.

I was looking at  advertisements and many do not have pedigrees for dogs or puppies available through the database that are being advertised..  I do think that if someone uses this forum as a form of advertisement, they should  be required to have a pedigree that is  easily accessable from within this site.

I don't understand whats the purpose of advertising and not have all the information easily accessible, that anyone interested will obviously want to know.  Also another thing is when ad reads, IMPORT puppies, when in reality the puppies are actually off imported parents or grandparents.  There is a big difference bewteen being an actual import and being off imported parents or lines.

Ok, just a thought that might help any potential buyers, but could also help the seller in selling their puppies or dogs more quickly.  JMO..I hope my thoughts all make sense.Wink Smile

The thing is we don't have the time nor the staffing to check ads. There are a lot of ads posted to this site and it would be very time consuming to deal with it.

Good news though we are spending 1000s of hours going over the pedigrees to take out doubles, bad pictures and any other problems we find.

if I submit a pedigree of a dog  purchase, and one of the parents do not have a picture and I submit a pic of that parent, is that ok to do, or will I get in trouble for putting a picture up on a dog I don't actually own.  I am asking according to what this would consider.

We appreciate all your efforts in this forum. Thumbs Up I realize that you all can not monitor each and every ad submitted, but at least I was thinking that it could be stated and than left up to the honesty and sincere effort of each person submitting an ad.

The pedigrees are open for anyone to update, we just ask that you double check that you are using correct pictures or information. I can ask Oli to maybe put a reminder in the instructions for the ads.

Heck, all I wish is that the same ads couldn't be posted over and over again within 24 hours of each other.

A huge chunk of the ads for the USA are all from one broker.  So obnoxious

Xeph,

Can you forward this brokers user name to me in a PM?

Is there a way to report duplicate entries for the same dog? Maybe a thread that could be started for people to post links to duplicated entries?

Xeph, I agree with you.  Not to mention that broker has the world's world attitude when responding.  I contacted them telling them exactly what I was interested in and the first question I ws asked was, "How much do you have to spend?"  Isn't that obvious as to what their purpose of being in the breed is.  Dam no shame in their game!  My response was, "it depended on the quality of dog".  I never heard back from them.  Wouldn't have bought anything from them or through them anyway.
