i dick around randomly looking at peds of dogs i think are interesting and quite often come up with "elbows unkown" or "hips unkown" this is surprising as if you got to the trouble of putting yr dog on the pdb and given the assumptions that can be made about that info eg;

1. owner doesn't know or care to find out implies owner is either too broke to pay for film or too backyard to care.
2. owner knows but does not want others to know imlpying something to hide.

are there legit reasons for this i am missing, some of the dogs are quiet well known dogs as well (i do not have a specific example on the ready)

i understand a dog is too young to x-ray possibly but hey some of these dogs are mature surely you can add the info later as it comes to hand?

thoughts appreciatted.

That's something which I find annoying...

I mean a person goes through the effort of putting the titles and also loads a photo but doesn't share the Hips/Elbows...

Elbows was not a pre-requisite previously and still not in many countries but Hips has always been...

It is true that not all people x-ray their GSD's...those should obviously not be bred with...but what about this:

What is rather interesting is that some dogs even have progeny listed but don't have the Hip grading listed...
