Hi all new to this site and I was womdering if anyone new where I can get a quilty nice all black male puppy in California working ddr that is going to be Big about 100 pounds are more but not to big ive been looking all over ive seen some nice dogs but not what I'm looking for bye the way I'm james sorry all

hi james, have you checked out Kerstone, Noblewoods ( located in NY) or Urban German Shepherds? they are on the West Coast.. I know Lori from Urban Shepherds would be able to point you in the right direction.

I know a few people that breed DDR dogs. But unfortunantly none of them will be as BIG as you want. All the DDR breeders that I know breed dogs that are smaller (within the standard for males 75-90 pounds).
Good luck on your search for a DDR dog. They are beautiful dogs. I would type in DDR breeders and see what comes up.

Buy a king shepherd, if you want a big gsd. The Stasi kennel in europe also has some heavyweights.

Why do people want oversized dogs of any breed? It drives me crazy when people breed oversized Dobes, it is not standard and there are more problems down the line with the large dogs. It's just irresponsible breeding when it comes to Dobes. Not sure about shepherds, but the people on this board who breed GSD's could tell you for sure.
Jagger, why would you not be happy with an average sized solid black DDR/working line shepherd? If they have nice bone and good muscles, they will be heavy enough and at least appear to be good sized dogs.

Please, for the sake of the breed
stay away from breeders that advertise "giant" or "oversized" German Shepherds. The GSD was
intended to be medium/large in size, with athleticism and agility. Neither their frame nor their joints were designed to handle
120 pounds or more. Pick a breeder who breeds within the breed standard!!!!
stay away from breeders that breed "White", "blue or liver" color in GSD's! These Colors are a fault within the breed standard. Any breeder who breeds them
intentionally could not care less about preserving this beautiful breed for what they are intended to be!!! Reputable breeders try to avoid producing such colors. Beware of ANY breeder who specifically breeds for these "off" colors.
Please, for the sake of the breed
ONLY support a breeder who does hip, health and temperment testing on their GSD's!!
Life is short! If your lucky, you will have many good, happy, healthy years with your new best friend, so please choose wisely!
