I am running out of ideas. I have 3 cats who require 2 litter pans along with my dogs in the house. I am able to lock one in the bathroom with a baby gate but the other ,I can't figure how to keep the dogs out of it. They are inside cats. I keep the pan clean....but , some how, they get at it . I am trying to think of a way to block it of...but I don't have a door or a way to put one. Any ideas?

I had a cat for 17 1/2 years.. finally found a booda-box (had a big cover with a very small opening)was the best way to keep dogs out of it.. The opening was too small for their heads to fit thru.. it was the best pan ever.. not sure they even make them anymore.. they weren't cheap and that was a long time ago but it was worth it!!

Do you have a garage?? This is what my hubby did...our garage conects thru our family room....he built a big wooden box with vents..inside this box he put the cat box..the wood box is large and has a hinged lid for easy cleaning..we can keep the scoop and bags or whatever in there also.. How does the cat get into it you ask?? Well, he put in a cat door thru the wall next to the garage door. So when you walk into our living room you see the garage door to your left and about 2 feet or less to the right of the garage door (facing that door) you see the little cat door. It works great..the dogs cant't get their big heads in there and even when they are in the garage they ignore it!! Keeps any odor out of the house also..our cat is an indoor cat too. It sounds complicated but not really and it is worth it.. Or you could put a cat box in a closet you don't use and put a kitty door in.....

i saw toilets for cats advertised somewhere last week I guess u could train the cats to use the potty put plastic covers around seat for ur safety just remove and put new cover on Now how to get it to flush it would probably be a bit of a chore maybe u could get a szhutzhund monkey that someone spoke of on another thread...........

I have neither a closet available or a garage. Brandoggy, starting to build an idea here. Thanks.

kathy they still sell booda boxes at Petco or Petsmart. Not cheap like Dkiah said but anything is better than a dog with cat poop breathe.
