Hello, I have a question as I'm confused on the difference between show and working lines. We have a female puppy, who parents are Sire: Knan vom Haus Hahn III, and dam is Kagney vom haus Stronje, can any one tell me the background on the lines and what lines they are. Thank you in advance for your help..

He wants to know what lines his puppy is ....don't get into the whole bashing eachother AGAIN on lines vs lines!!

Since I'm asking, and I have very little knowledge, would like to know the background on this puppy. I have e-mail the breeder and she has not been able to answer. I see alot of discussion on DDR/ West german and would like to know if this is american has DDR/ ? And you can see I'm confused. I have been downloading lots of information to read and try to learn a little. Thanks

I can't pull up either parent on this database, can you provide us with the names of the GP's?

First read the message list on show lines/working lines then come back and ask more questions Actually none of us will know where the lines came from without a pedigree If your received an akc registration buy a pedigree If the breeder didnt tell you where the pup came from as in "are the parents registered akc and are there titles behind the dogs listed. akc titles are cd,cdx ch and german dogs carry the titles explained on the messageboard here under the topics u need to go read first Do u have a pedigree on your dog Maybe someone reading does know the line but a pedigree would be a good place to start and the registry u use will provide that. Then the pros on this site can address the lines and u can start your research and difference between american lines and import lines and join in the discussion lots of people on here to help u but go read the messages first

GSD Fan Thank you for your help The dam is Kagney vom haus stronje and her parnets number is DN 06297701 & DN 89813001 the sire is Khan vom haus kukn and there parents numbers are dl64308907 & dl75435001. I would provide more information if I had it. I am waiting on the breeder to send me info and the paper work.

You can go to www.akc.org and order a pedigree for $8.00 thats the quickest and then u can provide us some names and then someone here may recognize and go with it you will then be able to answer some of the questions the people here need to ask y off the pedigree.. check the answer order on line....on the akc pedigree

of course you have to have a printer If u know someone with akc ties they can call 3 way and u can ask questions of who are the grandparents and write the names down and ask are there titles and they will help in that way by mail it takes a week or so to get a pedigree from them but either way will be beneficial to you If the breeder comes thru for you save the money
