DO NOT SHIP KLM AIRLINES.
YESTERDAY WE ARRIVED AT LAX AIRPORT TO PICK UP A PUPPY THAT HAD BEEN SHIPPED FROM ROME, TO AMSTERDAM TO LAX.
PUPPY IS SIX MONTHS , FEMALE, AND WAS IN A 400 CRATE.   KLM AIRLINES PUT HER INTO A 500 CRATE, AND LOST HER HEALTH PAPERS
NEEDED TO CLEAR US CUSTOMS.   TO MAKE THINGS WORSE THEY ALSO SENT HER WITH NO CONTAINERS FOR FOOD OR WATER, AND
SHE HAD NO WATER FROM AMSTERDAM TO LAX!
SHE IS NOW BEING HELD HOSTAGE BECAUSE OF KLM'S HORRENDOUS INCOMPETENCE.   ALL THEY TELL US IS THEY HOPE FOR "GOOD NEWS"
SHE IS IN HOLDING BECAUSE OF THE AIRLINES MISTAKE!!!
PLEASE HELP US BY CONTACTING KLM AIRLINES, ON FACEBOOK OR TWITTER OR OTHER MEDIA, AND TELLING THEM TO RESOLVE THIS SITUATION.
THE PUPPY NEEDS TO COME HOME!!!!!
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD

Victory:

Instead of taking time to type this out I would be on the phone first thing getting a hold of the breeder to get copies ASAP... Just a thought.

Bob we have been up all night working on this.   Everything was on the crate sent by the agent.  All we have now are photos of her passport.
You really don't think I am just wasting time and typing?  I have been on the phone / email all over the world ,all night long.  I now have contacted my
attorney..no answer from KLM except "we hope for good news"  Meanwhile my 6 month old puppy is hostage.

I feel for you and especially the puppy. Hopefully she is at least in a kennel and not stuck in a crate! Airlines never cease to amaze me.

Anyone going throught this remember for now on.Copies should always be sent ahead so when you get to the airport all your bases are covered. copies are easy.

Victory:

I hope things get corrected quickly for the dogs sake. When I got a dog from Belgium the importer had all the coppies from the breeder when he picked up the dog at JFK before hand.

Keep us apprised and I hope all comes to a quick happier ending.

the vet that did thehea;th clearance will have the paperwork. Have them fax copies. It will also have the id numbers on it so it should make it easier to get the pup out. good luck

Who did you use for shipping? Gradlyn normally Scan all the docs and email them on the day the dog gets shipped. They did this on both dogs that I imported.

Hope you got the paperwork sorted and have your dog!
