When I was breeding and showing Miniature Pinschers and Beagles we did a lot of inbreeding to lock in desirable traits and produce a consistant "look". I see that in GSD's it is thought of differently. I am going to post the results of a hypothetical breeding and would like opinions on why this may or may not be a good breeding.

What you have posted is a 5 gen linebreeding. Linebreeding is not inbreeding. It simply means that the dog listed was used at that generation in one or both sides. Similar relation -- not full relation.

I looked up your question in the genetic history of gsd by malcolm and it tells that there isnt any difference between inbred and linebred they are just phrases that describe the same animal on top and bottom. Of the pedigree. Also there is a mathamatical equation called inbreeding coefficient that will give you in percentage representing the dog in question keep in mind that no breed can be established without intense inbreeding just google mendel he figured out how to make breeds long ago as for the dogs you show all are top awesome dogs that I have had the pleasure of training. With many of there offspring you cant go wrong with those genetics plus I consider that linebreeding very. Mild. Well I hope this was of some help and also that it doesn't get me a verbal beat. The main point of focus would be the 3-3 on Javir, of which I would know nothing about. Almost everything else is behind HIM, and of lesser consequence. Except that: the third appearance of Javir's parents reveals that the dam of this pedigree was evidently linebred herself 2-2 on "J" litter Talka Marda, her parents were essentially half-sibs, but overtly just cousins.

This is probably the dam of your proposed breeding?
