Yes, Figo is extraordinary dog and class for himself. But he was not well prepared for Sieger (my opinion) and he is big dog and judge when see him do not know how to judge. Judging big dogs is not properly regulated and is in collision with standard. In one way we have many VA oversized in other way a lot of people have problems with showing that kind of out of standard dog. I told earlier my opinion about GSD size on Board. I am for new regulating of GSD standard. ------------------------------------------------------- For Blitzen I have not got time to reply on your post later when we discuss about of GSD standard but it is proper situation to post on your " Too big, no endurance; too small, not enough strength.". Endurance will not depend of size. For me endurance will depends of 3 elements: 1. harmony anatomy elements as hind and forward leg angulations, positioning and length of upper arm, proportions between length and height... 2. inner energy and mental working capabilities which merge in desire that dog wants "to die for work" 3. health conditions of HD&ED and health conditions of all dogs organism And Figo is perfect model for my notion. Dogs like Figo and others absolutely can work 7X24. If you have proportional health big dog, size will not influence on endurance and working capabilities. I will say again - we must regulate GSD standard and rise height of GSD.
