Falsified Papers - Page 1

If you are a joint person on a dogs papers, and you find out that someone falsified your signature to get your name off of papers, AND you have the proof, what are the steps to take to pursue all of the people involved?

It hasn't happened to me, but if it did I would start with whichever Kennel
Club the dog was registered with.  Can't suggest anything further without
knowing more re circumstances, country etc. Sorry.

I do know the AKC will do something about that if you have the proof.
They would more than likely strip the guilty party of their AKC privledges.
I do believe their could any number of criminal charges as well. Unlike a dispute between co-owners which would be deemed civil in nature, this is outright fraud.

I had someone sign my name as owner of stud on a litter of pups.  I repeatedly asked the bitchs owner if they wanted the pups registered and they said NO, we are giving them to family.  Then I run into someone with a pup from the litter and they tell me they got papers.  I had to send a letter in to AKC to get it rectified.  They had paid a stud fee and I was willing to sign the paperwork, however the fact that they forged my name really PISSED me off.  
I found out later that it was not the first time this person had done this.  I am hoping that getting called on it changed her behavior but somehow I doubt it.

Knighthawk-would you mind sharing what happened in that situation with them signing for that litter?

i believe mario had the same thing once wit stoned van de duvetorre, i believe it came to a courtcase between that breeder and johan(breeder of stoned).
the breeder who falsiefied the papers claming stoned was the father of his litter was forced to do DNA tests of all puppies
results showed that stoned wasn't the father and that breeder was banned for life out of FCI
if you want more info i can call mario to know it exactly because it happend long time ago and i don't remember everithing about it

Thanks, I figured that is what would happen.
I imagine AKC would do the same thing.
I would think if it was done totally behind your back, and money was made, it would be a criminal matter.
