Interesting article I just came across. I wonder how valid it really is.
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/secission-petitions-filed-20-states-190210006.html
"In the wake of last week's presidential election, thousands of Americans have signed petitions seeking permission for their states to peacefully secede from the United States. The petitions were filed on We the People, a government website."

Sounds like a revolution..lol
I don't read yahoo news I find it bias as with most internet news.
The article seems valid, but the concept political and unrealistic.
I think people everywhere are simply fed up.

A few thousand signatures does not equal a state asking to leave. It equals pissed off people that were intentionally misled by right wing talking face holes.

I vaguely remember rumors here in Texas about Gov Perry mentioning secession a few years ago. The rumor continued that Pres Obama black listed Perry and it came to a head when Perry asked for Federal Emergency declaration when we had those huge fires (which was denied) 2 summers ago.
I know that there are a few states (Texas included) that it is written in whatever document that added us to the Union that we can secede without Federal approval.

Here is an update: http://dailycaller.com/2012/11/13/petitions-seeking-white-house-approval-to-secede-now-come-from-47-states/
The only states without petitions are Vermont, Maine, and Washington per the article, although I don't see Hawaii on the list.

While ago on the national news they said all 50 states have petitions now. I think Texas has 88,000 signatures............
