Anyone see the the PBS Independent Lens presentation on Park Ave and how the wealthy influence elections (and most everything else)?

by beetree on 13 November 2012 - 12:11

No? But I can imagine. However, it is not an absolute. Linda McMahon failed her bid for Senate twice, the millions she spent meant nothing to the voters in the end.

Worked well for Romney, didn't it?

by Blitzen on 13 November 2012 - 13:11

It's not just about that, Bee. I should have said how the ultra wealthy attempt to influence elections, how they live and what they will do to make more money. Watch it.

Ninja, just watch it if you have the chance. It's not about what you think. One of the most influential politicians is democrat, Chuck Schumer

No I haven't seen that one but that is one of my fave PBS shows. It comes on Thursday nights here--I will have to make sure and check it out. Thanks for sharing that.

It's a guaranteed jaw dropper, Vonissk.
