Dawulf

It's just been an awesome week.

First, a few days ago, I was walking around in Petco with my dog... we had someone come up to us and asked me if she was an American Showline. I had to try not to laugh, but he at least new what DDR was apparently when the follow up question was "Does she speak German?" I just... had to imagine Qira talking with her doggy friends in fluent German, but just said "yeah" because I didn't feel like being a smartass... but did you know his dog speaks Czech? Teeth Smile That was a good laugh later on... but still, first person I've met since I got her who knew what DDR was.

Anyway, so that was fun.

Then today we were walking around in a local specialty pet food store... in all honesty shopping around for a better grain-free food for my cat. Then the lady behind the counter sees us and was oohing and aweing over her, then runs into the grooming area and brings this other guy out to see her. He apparently was bathing 3 other shepherds in there. I happened to notice he had on a Schutzhund t-shirt, so I asked if he was into that, and long story short, I've been invited to go watch a trial tomorrow! That might not seem big for you guys, but I am beyond excited - I've always wanted to go to one and I finally get too!

So not only that, but I FINALLY get a decent stack picture of my dog! Two in fact! (and YES, ALSO a big deal to me! LOL!)

Anyways, I was wondering if someone critique my stacking ability? I'm not into conformation or anything, so I suppose I don't NEED to know, but it's just kinda fun to play around with... and no where near as easy as I thought it'd be! I do this by myself mind you... and I finally figured out a trick to get her to raise her head! ;)

And which is better to update her current ped. photo with? I personally like the second one better, just because she looks so much like her sire (or the pic I've seen anyway) in it.

Agree, 2nd pic.

Try this cat food if it is available near you.

My cats are doing very well on it. Price is very reasonable also.
And, their canned cat food is phenomenal. Cats really love it.

I wonder why the 1st guy thought your dog was AM showline... she looks nothing like them!   lol.

The photos show up a bit distorted....but I figured out if you right click on them, then click on "open image in new tab" that the new tab shows the picture perfectly.

You did an excellent stacking job!  Photos could be taken a little more level with the center of the body, but the angle you used is complimentary to the body.   I like the second one best also, I always love seeing more of a dog's face.

Cool, hope you have fun at the trial.  That will make two of us going to trials tomorrow.

I have Bravo's IPO 2 trial tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Qira looks great as always too!!

clc29 - Thanks! I tend to agree, but I'm a bit biased. And I plan too! I just hope I don't do anything stupid or something.

OGBS - Thank you for the link! I will look into that. Unfortunatly Chey refuses to eat wet food of any sort - she is such a weirdo.

EuroShepherd - That's what I thought! But I'm not too sure he knew very much... just by some of the comments he made and such. And thanks! I used my tripod, and she wound up being further back then I anticipated... ah well, can't be perfect!

Nadeem - good luck to you and Bravo! Can't wait to hear how he does. Love that dog. Have fun at yours too! :)

Myself I definately see n o American in her either. She is beautiful and I like the 2nd pic best also.
Great about tomorrow. Have a lot of fun and pick what brains you can. I bet yopu will get a lot of nice compliments on your girl. BTW I think the stack looks very good. I hate those drug out roach backed ones--even just drug out without the roach.........................

And Nadeem Good luck to you and Bravo. Will be looking for that new pic and an awesome post tomorrow night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the nice compliments on Qira... second picture it is! I like her structure a lot too, and think she has beautiful movement to boot. I could watch her walk around all day - its like she floats! These pictures were taken about a month and a half ago, on her birthday... Right between her shedding and her heat, so her coat is not at its greatest...

Vonissk - her lines are pure DDR. :) And thank you for the compliment on the stack. I've been working on that a lot recently and it has apparently paid off. Woohoo!

Dobermannman, I've been getting that recently too. :\

For what its worth, I had an awesome time at the trial. Everyone was super nice and really knew what they were talking about. I learned a lot, and hope I can go back soon. The guy that originally invited me down said he would send me some more info. I also met a dog who is Qira's second cousin (I believe) - their grandma's were littermates. So that was cool. :)
