Oli - Request for Date of Birth field - Page 1

Hey Oli,
I’d like to request some changes to the Date of Birth fields.  I’m entering very old pedigrees and DOBs aren’t always available.  However, sometimes, there are DOBs listed as October 1875, or just 1875, for example.  I would love to be able to reflect this info.  Right now, we have to enter a complete DOB, which isn’t always possible.
Also, when there’s no DOB available, it would be nice to be able to enter something like 1800’s.  Is there any way to make the DOB field totally customizable?

It's a reflection of how the database stores the data.  It's  a date field not a text field.   I have set it so that if you set a date to 01.01.+year it will only show the year as long as the date is under 1950..  

Odds of someone knowing that a dog was born first of jan 1900 is pretty slim.  and even then showing a year is quite ok.
