I wasn't aware of this movement before, anyhow one should watch out not to cause segregation, seperation of the states, this is a dangerous thing to do.

Ibrahim,
do you know anything of our Civil War?
Alex Jones is not a good source btw.
Yes it is a dangerous thing.

I know about the Civil War only what we were taught at school as children. Though the war was very bitter, the end result of uniting was good and then the Americans from African origin started having equal rights.

I read the article Preston posted link to, the language is a bit difficult for me, I'm not always in the right mood to look up each new word to me, but I think I understood the general idea.

I don't know Ibrahim what the country or countries would look like if the Confederacy had won, we will never know.
As for the black race, not all were African they have had to fight for rights to this day.
What you may have learned in school I'm sure was not the whole story, history is always written by the victor.
It was more than bitter this war, men butchered their own friends neighbors and relatives over this war.

Yes Two Moons very true, I get what you're saying

As for States rights I believe the federal government has always suppressed them here,
Some of it I can agree with, but much I cannot.
Our system is pretty messed up here, everything is open to interpretation and nothing is safe from changes, especially our constitution.
Not that they can change it so much but rather they interpret it in the high courts who are appointed by politicians.
This is what brings out so much passion with every election, every supreme count nomination.
Problem is people think they have a say when in reality this is not so.
It all looks so good to those who do not see it on a daily basis, from other countries, but it is a battle we repeat over and over.

Honestly,we are never sure who the real enemy is, who is honest, what is true or a lie, we have to work at it, problem is many just look away.

Moons, I noticed you mentioned that blacks still have to fight for their rights until this day, just as you've mentioned in other posts (other threads) that there is a lot of racism in this country.  There is racism to a degree, yes.  But not every white person who voted for Romney (I know this thread is not about the presidental race) was racist, just as I see where I live blacks who have all of the same rights that whites do. No one where I live fights for any rights anymore.  I know good and well that most blacks voted for Obama because he......was black.  Does that not sound racist on the blacks part?  I know more black people who hate whites than I know whites who have hatred towards blacks. And I live in the south......  I've just noticed your point at racism in this country in some of the posts on the database, and I can't say I completely agree.  I'm not denying that racism doesn't exist from white towards black however.  I still know of people who call blacks what they called them back before the 60s.

I don't know that I ever said there is a lot of racism in this country, and I have no clue who voted for whom or why, we all have our own views and opinions.
My point this time was that the civil war did not end the struggle of the black race in this country for rights and equality.
Everyone must stand up for their rights, they are not just handed to you freely.
People of all races, both sexes, even people of different classes, class is an issue as well, and don't forget religions with or without.
My father was a racist, my younger brother sounds just like him, I don't know my older brother well enough to know what he thinks, but me, I am not.
I see each person as an individual and take each on his or her own merits,
Nothings free in Waterworld.
