How can I put a video to a thread?

Copy the emebd code from youtube looks like this <iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/bAsA00-5KoI" width="420"></iframe>
Then bring it to the editor and click the Source botton-paste the code into the editor and then click source again and you should see the outline of the video box and then hit submit and the video will show.

Is YouTube my only option? I have a video I took with my phone; "mp9"

You need to upload it to youtube or a similiar site.
