Our dogs need your help! Please help by sharing and caring by signing our petition to help fund more research for Degenerative Myelopathy also called DM. And insidious disease that slowly takes your dogs from their owners that love them. I recently lost my German Shepherd Dog, Blade to this insidious disease. He fought a gallant battle for 2.5 years. Eventually becoming paralyzed and then progressing to organs and front limbs. I promised Blade during his struggle that I would do everything in my power to get more research to hopefully find a cure for degenerative myelopathy(DM). In "Memory of my beautiful majestic boy "Blade" and others as well, please sign our petition. A cure must be found as many dogs and breeds are now getting this. Once only in German Shepherd Dogs. Now at least 10 breeds are stricken with DM. Which slowly takes your beloved dog from their family. Most common breeds are German Shepherd Dogs, Standard Poodles, Australian Shepherds, Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Cardigan Corgis, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Great Pyranese, boxers, pugs, and mixes of any of these breeds. TY for taking the time to sign and share.

Can you post a link so people can just click on the above and go right to the site? Thx Nan
So sorry to read about your boy as I also lost a boy to DM and know how devastating this disease is. At least now he is not struggling and having to fight to get up; I just had such a hard time watching this disease progress, very very debilitating and horrific. RIP Blade, Thx again Nan

Gwenith: I know what you mean, I still miss my boy everyday also and it's been over 2 years; I have not been able to get another GSD as of yet; have some pretty crotchity senior dogs with me now and do not want to bring in another puppy/dog at this time. HOpefully I will be able to get another boy later; feel am running out of time though for my energy and patients for training, etc. HOpe not but that is kind of how I feel right now. Time does help to heal, however, there are some dogs you never get over and that was my boy also. Better days ahead, Nan
