Has anyone ever experienced that? I took my 11 week old Brenda son out and he lifted his leg to pee

Record in one of my puppies was 7 weeks and I am not kidding. By 9 he was a pro at it, I shipped his ass to a guy who placed him in a PD in WY I believe. My male started to lift his leg by 12 weeks. A lot of manlyness... LOL

I thought I couldn't believe my eyes. He is very dominant for his age already.

Jagger did that at 11 weeks as well...I was still half asleep and thought I was seeing things!  He's done it several times since but not consistently.

My almost 14 YEAR OLD BITCH hikes her leg;  go figure; would you say she is somewhat dominant or what??  Nan

So what is the importance of early leg raising. What does this correspond to when the pup grows up. Any practical experience.

They do it if they have another dog to watch, usually. My Pit Bull did it very early....maybe 9 weeks, at first, consistenly by 10. But- he was being raised by Caleb alongside me, so he was just following suit, I think. He is not a terribly dominant dog. I have had far more dominant dogs who didn't until they were nearly a year...
