Tank loves new soccer balls

Bailey steals soccer ball

Tank no longer loves Bailey

Bailey loves new soccer ball and does not care what Tank thinks...LOL.
..

I came home early today and decided to pick up a soccer ball on a way..for dogs its like a Christmas morning...
it was a lot of fun to just sit back and watch them....(i was more staying outside to dry out after washing all 4 of them)...glad i had my camera unfortunately its so easy to get wrapped up into watching them that at times i forgot to snap the shots....i did laugh a lot especially at Tanks face after his ball was taken and popped, he whined the whole time she was trying to pop it...once she popped it, he stopped following her and went across the yard and stayed there by himself...LOL

Ode to Bailey and Tank
by beetree

Oh, how fickle is the darling female.
When her gallant suitor relents his ball,
Thanking him with her receding, teasing tail,
Unabashedly, she deigns to have it all.

i picked up a soccer ball at Walmart this summer.  It was pink and only $8.00.  Played soccer with Maya for about 20 seconds until she got the ball and punctured it. Destroyed in under 25 seconds. Best 25 seconds of her life though.

My dogs love soccer balls but they don't last very long.

Tank is becoming quite breath taking.  I never thought about a soccer ball; need to try it.

Bailey is very pretty too.

Love that little tableau 'story' Ladyfrost - great photos.

I play with a football with my friends GSD as well as mine as she is not so well at the moment, and he is awesome at destroying them. So last week I bought him a Jolly Ball tug n toss. He punctures it and squashes it, it makes a satisfying wheeze, but reinflates ! he is in love with it. If left to his own devices he will chew the 'handle off' though, but even then, it won't deflate. Clever.

We have a football graveyard LOL. But it is such a joy to watch the fun, worth every penny.

Bee...awww that was beautiful..

Abby - thank you. :)

fawndallas...oh you gotta try it..soccer ball works great too..the leather ones last a lot longer because they first try to take off all patches than pull inner ball out (de gutt job) and than they will play with patches....

Eldee, I usually try to hit Goodwill stores, balls are like $0.25 there and even though some are not full of air they work just fine....the trick is -  ball needs to be deflated enough so that it is soft when they bite it they can close their mouth on it without puncturing it and getting it deflated yet enough air to stay round and have a bounce...older leather balls work better for that purpose....I did not deflated mine enough obviously so Bailey was able to puncture it....

I had a bright idea once to get basketball full of air...that lasted the longest...about 10 min. until Misty finally for her mouth around it and punctured it....
