I have looked through the forums and it appears that many are pleased with the Healthy Paws Insurance company.
Is this still the case?
Do you feel you are getting value out of the insurance?
I know that no company is a saint. If you have had any issues, I would like to hear about them and how the company resolved them. This is not to bash the company. I am just looking for facts.

Also, what about the company Trupanion?

Trupanion has been recommended to me a couple of times.

Are/did you use Trupanion for insurance? We hope not, but any experience with claims?
Side note, Keith, how is the new puppy coming along?

I use both. Healthy Paws, I believe, was started by someone who used to work at Trupanion. They are similar. I like Healthy Paws slightly more because their deductible is an annual one, whereas Trupanion is a per incident one. But, as I said, I use both and have had good experiences with both.

For working pets, no coverage shall apply for any condition resulting from activities related to racing,
breeding, law enforcement, guarding or for any commercial use.
commericial use is anything but being a pet or a helper dog in their definitions

Siantha, I don't think you're reading that right. They are saying they won't cover issues resulting from activities that in all likelihood, may have their own insurance coverage anyway or activities in which the owner experienes some benefit whether employment (psd, for example) or personal financial gain. Sport dogs are still just pets. They are not commercial in most cases. They aren't doing the community any good, and they're not employed by any agency. They're just pets. Unless you make money, how are they commercial? That's a rather ambiguous statement.
