For the record I was not at NASS this year and do not know Irene personally. I have attended many of these SV type shows, both those put on by Irene's club and some that weren't, either as a spectator, exhibitor, or photographer.  At every event where Irene was present I observed her being patient and friendly, always stepping in to help even at shows that I don't think were her own club.  She and a few others have a reputation of being very helpful and efficient, the go-to people if you are trying to run a show and don't understand all the paperwork. Like I said I don't know Irene and don't think I have ever met her formally but I know exactly who she is because I have consistently observed her being so friendly and helpful. People can be downright nasty so someone like Irene really stands to me especially when I was a total newbie to this show stuff. I was not at NASS but I am inclined to believe her version of the story and if that is true then I don't think she (or anyone) owes it to anyone else here to stay and be badmouthed rather than appreciated for all of her hard work.  There are other clubs and shows out there so why should we ask Irene to stay where she is not only not thanked and appreciated but disrespected?  I switched to USCA a year ago, not really because of WDA B.S but at the time the USCA offered far more trialing opportunities and clubs in my region.  There is not a single active WDA club within a half day's drive of where I live.  I don't really involve myself in all the politics, I am just an individual who owns a few dogs but trains, shows, and trials them on my own without any underhanded dealings or networking.  As a USCA member I hope Irene can find a new "home" and continue to be active in the breed.  I know that the USCA is often criticized by people who participate in WDA events because there are hardly any shows but I think that is because a lot of clubs have never done a show and don't know where to begin.  We could really use someone like Irene who has the experience being an event secretary.  Heck I had one discussion where we joked about *paying* someone who knew how to run a show come in and help the club do it.  So anyway....JMHO but Irene has paid her dues (literally and figuratively) and she can make her own decisions which we should all respect and be appreciative of all the hardwork she has done for NASS and all the other events.

I admire Tessa. She is a very talented young woman. I know she has a wonderful future ahead.

I do not see any way I can stay and fight with the present leadership of the WDA. I will however help in any way I can. I will still work and show my dogs. I will still work for the breed and I will always be there for those who share my love of this wonderful breed.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support.
