Hi, I just purchased Olewo for my 4 month old GSG...the instructions on the box temm me to take a cup of warm water, add sunflower oil & Olewo, then mix with food...my question is: My pup is a very picky eater...I have to mix a 5 oz. can of wet with the dry food for him to eat...Believe me I tried everything else & this is the only thing that works...now my concern is if I dump a cup od water in with the meal..it's going to be soup...I feed him 3x per day ...do I split it up between the 3 meals? do I mix a smaller amount or do I keep the mix and use it during the day for the other meals? or do I just give it him in one of the 3 feedings? What is everyone else doing? Your help is appreciated. I feel guilty because I am new to this board, I cant wait till I can give some input to help a fellow GSD Lover!

Rocket,
Follow the instructions for the Olewo SEPERATE and apart, without pouring it in the food. WHEN the Olewo carrots have reconstituted itself with the water(12-15 minutes), stir a couple times to mix in the oil, THEN pour that porridge like mixture over the food, and serve.

Give him the 1 tablespoon of pellets, once per day.

Try Salmon Oil for the "picky eating" problem. I had the same problem with my boy, switched to Timberwolf and it wasnt as bad. Then I started using Salmon Oil. Now when it get close to feed time he will lay next to his bowl and wait for me, kind of like telling me "okay dad, im ready". Plus Salmon Oil is supposed to be really good for the coat, heart, joints and brain, even cures depression.

The Olewo is good for all GSD old and young.1cup very warm water add the sunflower oil if you don't have it use the safflower its good too. Importen is the oil because it has to bring out the carotin, it has the vitamin A and B. Let it stand until it absorbs all the water then mix it when it seems to be like thick (olewo) ones a day with your half and half dry & wet food.It will also help when your pups experiencing diarrhea all and all it is good for them. But you can also give them your own cooked carrots with some broccoli and mix that in with there food fresh every day.Ps. there is no time limit I let it stand until all is absorbt so it does not look like soup.
