Hi everyone I have a litter of nine awsome GSD puppies that are 4 weeks old today, last week I started giving them goat milk with dry kibble blended into a creamy mixture. This week I'm starting warm water and kibble still blended in a creamy mixture. And then next week move to just soaked (softened) kibble. My question however is how much kibble to feed per pup? The recomendations on the bag are basicly for after weaning. So how much now in the creamy mixture? 1/4 cup per pup which would be 2 1/4 cups kibble in the creamy mixture for all nine pup's or more or less? And also do I just give them this mixture once a day or more. Any info would be greatly appreaciated!! Thanks to all in advance!!!

I would increase from 1 to 4 times per day depending if they are still on mom;  for nine puppies I would be sure all get some but don't let them eat until they bloat up they should be satisfied but not gourged with food.  If all is gone in about 20 minutes then I think you could say you are giving enough.  The formula sounds good; goats milk is good with ground up kibble, you could add a little raw hamburger to kibble/milk, then yogart (unsweetened of course, good quality also) with ground meat and kibble.  That will ensure that they get enough meat as kibble is mostly cereal.  Best of luck with them, pic's are always appreciated on this PDB.  Nan

LOL, sorry, this brings up a great vision.

Rose's puppies were face first in her food by 4 weeks. I even had one (Max) that was eating her food by 2 weeks. I so wish I had a picture of that. I'll never forget the look on Rose's face when Max took a nose dive into her food while she was eating. She look at me like "What is this? Can't you make him stop?"

Yes, this is the same Max I kept. Who can resist a puppy that was pushing his mom around by 2 weeks?
