This is an update to my message number 61620 titled Kraftwerk K9. As indicated in that message, I was unable to get Kraftwerk K9 to respond to my complaint regarding the purchase of a trained German Shepherd. A combination of my post to this site and another to www.ripoffreport.com generated a threatening response from Mr. Curry’s legal counsel that accused me of lying. After I provided documented evidence substantiating each of my statements, Mr. Curry, still ignoring my proposed settlement, has now indicated he will accept return of the dog. This is another example of his indifference to the breed that provides his livelihood, and a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. I am committed to sharing my experience, and those of the many other dissatisfied customers, with all future prospective customers of Kraftwerk K9. I am therefore preparing a web site that will convey those negative experiences. This site will have a domain name that assures it is prominently listed by any search engine used by someone looking for a German Shepherd. If you would like your experience included, please email me.

I personally haven't been had by Kraftwerk, but I am a small kennel with high morals. I have heard many horror stories from people who bought pups from Kraftwerk, seems their policies change with whatever works for them and the buyer gets the shaft. No breeding is perfect but I believe if there is a problem it should be fixed, by the way, there are alot of breeders who will give you the shaft in a heart beat and they just don't care. Well good luck to those who need those big brokers who are in it for the money. All I know is my conscience is clear and I'll keep my standards high and my downfall is my honesty. dragongsd.com

Actually add Dovovan K9 to the list. About a year ago or so I would have to look up all the emails. I sent them the money for a pup from a great breeding they had GSD's. Told them I wanted a male for stud prospect, I was very clear on this. The pups were several wks old so they said I would get the pick.(whatever) Ok time goes on I call them and they are ready to ship the male pup. Being a breeder, I ask again does this pup have what I want 2 balls etc.? All of a sudden this pup has 1 nut LOL And I say well that isn't what I ask for.... I got several emails saying the check was in the mail to me. Long story shortened... I am now just being ignored. And these are suppose to be reputable breeders.

I to am a small town breeder and also as dragongsd stated I to have high morals. I personally bought a male puppy from Kraftwerk and I can say they were very nice with everything and the male is everything I asked for if not more. I also have heard of some bad stories as well. In my small kennel and breeding of GSD's we always say HONESTY is our best policy even if you don't sell the puppy, you at least need to be honest about everything, because in the long run it will come back and bite you in the you know what! Best of luck to you circuited, and I hope it doesn't happen to you or anyone else again.

circuited, While I don't have a "nickel" in this "dime", I feel compelled to share my initial thought with you. First of all I am sorry for your experience and hope you find a suitable companion in the future. I do not know the person you speak of(or anything about his operation) so I can neither defend him or persecute his integrity. I am neutral on that front. I just want to offer YOU some unsolicited advice. If he has offered to take the dog back that you have, and does in fact, do so, I would wash my hands of the whole experience and move on. If he makes his living selling dogs, common sense tells me he has more satisfied customers, than dissatisfied ones(I could be wrong), or it would not be his "livlihood". If indeed you put up a website to undermind his "livlihood", after he has made restitution by taking the dog back from you(and I assume returned your money), you may find yourself in a position, that is on the wrong side of the law(depending on the laws and statutes of that state), because I think he is entittled to a "livlihood", as we all are. Not trying to tell you what to do, I would just hate to see you, or anyone, for that matter, in a bad situation, just because their "emotions" were in charge of doing the thinking and making the decisions. Take care and Godspeed! Stephen

I share your frustration. Our SchH1, KKl1, beautiful son of Larus von Batu, purchased from Kraftwerk K9 a year ago is in the midst of his latest inflamatory bowel disease flareup. Three weeks of diarrhea every few hours and urinating in the house due to the high prednisone dose he has had to resume have made us very cranky once again. I wish you well in your website, but the laws are indeed on Wayne Curry's side. He is arrogant and combative, so be forewarned. I only wish something had turned up about all the unhappy customers when I googled him and his kennel a year ago.

Stephen makes a good and sensible post, he always does. Yes its unfortunate but you must move on and learn by your experience dealing with the big oufits. By going on a vendetta will serve no useful purpose. Double X I am aware of your previous post, and my sympathy goes out to you also as well to Circuited.

VonBrunHaus. Thanks. Most days we consider ourselves very fortunate to have such a great dog. However, it is not without an ongoing struggle. I order powdered antibiotic and gel caps online and make my own. Our dog now takes a dozen pills a day to try to get things under control and we give him weekly B12 shots ourselves to save on cost and trips to the vet. Neither my husband nor I have any training in anything remotely medical, but we have been forced to educate ourselves in order to save our dog. He can eat just one kind of expensive food from the vet, and still things go haywire with no known reason. It is expensive and frustrating. Wayne Curry knew our dog was sick when he sold him to us, told us it was worms or stress when we informed him, and refused to reduce the purchase price when we protested. All that being said (and despite the ill will we will always feel toward Curry and Kraftwerk), we decided it was a losing battle to continue. We have made the decision to take care of our dog for the long haul and hope the yin and yang of the universe take care of ol' Wayne...

Thank you guys for being brave and telling your stories here for us to learn by. I too have looked at Kraftworks website and dogs. Way out of my price range but thought if I had the $, I would go with someone like this. They have experience and obviously are a success at what they do. After seeing what happens and how people do business, I am much more wary of who I do business with. Successfull or not, some people wont get my business no matter how great their dogs are because of how they deal with customers and treat their dogs. Obviously "Wayne" isn't putting the dogs well being first and that just doesn't cut it with me.

Well this is what is wrong in America if this would happen in Germany it is a done deal the Owner how ever small or big has to deal with the consequences of selling GSD.You all have it in your your blood to be so tolorant and generous. No wonder they can and will dominate the market because there are not enough courageous stand up people to express what happen to them in a transaction. Could it be of the habit of suing that is what scares you all?I am a hobby breeder from Germany and my Dad was a known Kennel Owner believe me he could never have gotten away with any of what I see and read. There are a lot of Breeder's there have the same mind set be nice very helpful tell them good stories and always make them believe you are the best in country for your selections of GSD.Until they have the check in hand and in there accounts you seem to be a have been person.Nooo they are not problematic you are, and believe me there is no support for you because some of them have the same marking. To be honest it is a hard thing to come by very few I do know and see there GSD and offspring to be what is promised. Why is that I do wonder, and please respond.Greetings Charlotte
