I just purchased a beautiful male import named Agar Zdekra CMKU51385/06 for personal protection and possibly to use as a stud.I am new to the sport and only recently considered possibly breeding but I am told that he has exceptional potential to produce top quality pups. Comments, advice and even criticism is appreciated.

Let me say first Congratulations on him. He is a beautiful big boy. From Eurosport? I know a lot about Tom but not the mother would have to look her up and research. I will be the first to say it "Sign" before you think about breding, do you plan on titling him? have you had his hips, elbows checked? What makes you think he is worth breeeding? you tell us Have you had a litter before, have you titled a dog before? why do you want to bred? These are the questions that you are going to be asked by people Be ready there are more to come. I think Molly or some of the others would be better at Critiqueing him then me.

I agree this is a nice looking boy! He does look like a Eurosport dog. Granted you do you research and as EkvonEarnhardt said make sure hips and elbows are good and nerves plus nerves and temperment are good he could be at least considered possible for breeding. Just alot of variables to look into first. Hopefully you realize he is from working lines and sport and not show. (topline and croup) That's Ok with me as I prefer the working lines. I do like has color and he is close to the same color as my female.

I don't know much about working lines but I like him.He is a good looking boy. Congratulations. As others have said, make sure you do all the necessary things ,title him, hips, elbows etc before breeding. All the best to you.

http://www.eurosportk9.com/forsale/a/agar/agar.asp You may want to update the database to show his title. He should have a hip rating and you should add that to the database as well as a breed survey if he has one. If you problems getting the info updated on the database, let me know and I will help you. Take care, Robin

I appreciate the comments and even the questions as to my intentions and reasons for wanting to breed. First off he has his SVVI that he received in Slovakia. His hips were rated excellent in Slovakia but I do intend to have them done here again once I get all his papers transferred. Eurosport will be sending me his x-rays and also his score book. I do plan on having him titled. The trainer I've been working with says Agar is ready to get his SCH I and II title with no problem. However I have only had him for a little over a month now and we are still bonding and doing obedience. Not so much for his sake but I need the training more than he does. lol The language barrier has been somewhat of an obstacle getting the pronunciations the way he is used to hearing them. When the trainer handles him he can make this dog do anything short from getting you a paper and crackin' a beer. lol I purchased him due to a personal situation I fell victim to and had no intentions whatsoever in becoming so interested in the whole training, competition and possible breeding. My husband has extensive knowledge with GSD's. But this is something I have chosen to dedicate my time to do myself and if he wants to join in on the fun great; if not that's fine too. The reason I'd love to breed him is quite simple he is just an exceptional dog. EXTREMELY stable in nerves, LOVES kids and is so gentle with them I am truly amazed as to his intelligence. He knows the difference between work and home. He was not a "house dog" in Slovakia but you would have never known it when he came to my home. His house manners were unbelievable. Never touched the garbage, food left out, never went to the bathroom inside, never chewed nothing or tried to get on furniture. He is truly what I perceive a GSD to be and just feel he would be an asset to someone's breeding program. I also must face the fact that he is young now but wont live forever and it will be hard to find one like him so perhaps I will someday want to keep one of his pups for myself??? For right now I'm just enjoying him and we are both learning from one another. Who knows what our future will hold. Thanks again for the input.

I was very very pleased with Eurosport and would recommend them to anyone who wants a good dog. They took special attention to the fact I have small kids and also what my circumstances called for. The process was quick and easy. I paid for him ith pay pal and 5 days later he was on the first plane to the US. Just excellent excellent people. Cant say enough about them and the quality of dogs they market. Thanks for your input.
