I'm considering feeding Auggie raw....I'm curious, how much do you guys spend each month on average to feed your dogs raw? And how much do they weigh?

Approx $120 month ($4.00 a day) for 90 lb GSD.   Ground lamb (with bone ground up in it), Ground Beef (bone ground up in it),  Salmon, Jack Makerel  Marrow bones.  Feed two pounds a day.  (2% of body weight).

Aproximately 150 a month for 4 GSD and a doberman X. One 75lb, one 60lb, one 65lb one 86lbs and one 80lbs.

Beef hearts .40 lb, chicken backs .29 lb, turkey necks .66 lb, leg quarters .66lb and whatever rabbits we kill. Also,
deer season is coming quick (yay!!!) and we'll go to the processer and get all bone and scrap free. Also feed eggs,
and other meat that might be on sale, plus organ.

Do a search for Blue Ridge Beef.. They will ship and have distributors all over the place. They are in Statesville, NC, butcher cows, rabbits, etc. Dollar forty a pound, it comes frozen, can get tripe, organ meat, bones......if you do cooked veg, rice shouldn't cost more than a couple dollars a day for a pup. Canned mackerel has a lot of salt.

This is like asking, how much will it cost when eating outside...depends on what you eat..
What has not been factored into the costs mentioned above, is the manual labor/time required to prepare the "raw meals". Depending on what your main job might be, I would add 20$/hr for cooking and cleaning.

I prep all my raw stuff on the tailgate of my truck, into ziplock bags and straight into the deep freezer. Total time, 1 hour per month.
To feed, take out of freezer, break apart and throw into kennels. I don't even use bowls anymore. The dogs just drag them out anyways.
It takes less time and energy to feed raw then to drive the 1.5 hours , shop and buy kibble. 43.00 bag X4 per month plus gas and time
VS order and pickup raw when I'm already going there for our family's meat. No gas used because I'm already going there... no special
trip.

3hp commercial grinder helps. we process 200 lbs of raw every other month in a hours time. Its also a good way to add kelp, and other vitamins. Plus you can never put a price on a great coat, energetic, and happy pack
