I'm on hold with United.... got a 15 minute wait before I can talk to a human.... but this should cover it, yes?

Actually, I want to kill myself because they came online and when I went to take them off speaker, the call was dropped.... ARrrgghhhhhhhh! I have to wait a whole another ....  20 minutes!

Good news though.... it is made in America....Teeth Smile

The United person just assured me if the pup is around eleven pounds and fits in the soft crate, they won't give me a hard time even if his head touches the top... if he zips in, we will be good.

Oh..... what now???
Trust her?

Though I did not understand what you're talking about, I wish you good luck Teeth Smile

LOL, thanks so much Ibrahim, that's probably what I need the most! Rose

Take the crate anyway Bee!  I have been turned around WAY to many times at airports due to "wrong crate " sizes.  Be extra cautious and you wont need it.  Don't take the crate and i guarantee you will be stuck in an airport!

I'm sure that crate will be fine!

The airlines will charge you to check the crate (empty), so better to buy one at a pet/mart/store in Montana, if you think you'll need it...

I think you'll be OK with the soft bag because you are carrying pup ON the plane with you.. the desk agents are no where near as nit-picky at the check in counter as they are at the CARGO shipping area.

Also, for future reference, don't buy the crates with the "snap" clips on the sides; always get the ones that have actual nuts and bolts. Many airlines won't accept the crate unless it has BOLTS.

And don't forget your two "USDA approved chew toys" (AKA water cups) that must be affixed to door of crate so that your puppy can rip them off and destroy them in a timely fashion.....

I have a spare 200 crate sitting out back.. handle is broken off the top, but its otherwise in good shape.. when are you flying thru Denver and how long is your layover???

by beetree on 10 September 2012 - 20:09

I can return this one... no problem... but I think Steph said stores are three hours away and I don't want to spend my limited time there driving, unless I have to. I fly out Saturday AM., return Monday evening.

I have just under 2 hour layover... I would buy you lunch, if you stopped by! We should be easy to spot, cute blond kid and his mom, lugging a puppy in a bag. LOL

You are correct about the bolts and trays... they were inside, and plus... look what else I bought:

And you did not take a Boise de-tour.. really!???? Schame on you!

What .... lumberjacking??? LOLOL??? Moi? ... snort!

Been thinking just what to wear on my feet, as my only pair... or travel wearing the slip-on moccasins, and bring sneakers?

The moccasins are cool, they were bought in Santa Fe by mom decades ago, and are white leather with red/black and white beading in the shape of an eagle. The sneakers are boring.
