the "eat less, move more diet" is the only one that works for me.

I went vegan ( grosssssss) but successfully dropped 35 pounds. I'm down to 150 and feel better than I have in years!( for me with my muscle mass I actually am looking a bit too thin) I am slowly adding meat and dairy BUT I keep all of my meals to the magic 500 calorie mark.( still losing weight, trying to level out a bit but I am very active) I just look at the package and go hmmm will this keep me under the 500 cal range. I can eat anything I want. But if I eat a 1200 calorie piece of cheese cake it just means I have 300 calories left for the day. Also get rid of coffee and soda, do you know how many calories are in one pop????? 140 !!! Also diet pop makes you hungry and you consume more calories so honestly drink the full sugar stuff. Veggies make me super duper hungry so I alway eat some WASA bread or something to fill me up. It seem the more veg I eat the more unsatisfied I feel to the point were my stomach feels like it is eating itself. So the fibre combined with the veg really helped.

I totally disagree with the sugar soda comment... that is the easiest area to eliminate empty calories! Diet soda DOES not make me hungry!!!!

hi guys thanks,
i dont do soda , i am a big water drinker, have been doing the 5-6 times aday small meals , one serve of protien per meal and veg 2 times aday , and only 1 carb aday ,so not sure if this is the best , well i guess not any more, i have been doing this plan for 6-7 months now.
i excercise 6-7 times a week for like 40 mins, would be the normal.
i do sometimes have coffee, but not all the time.
i dont think i could give up meat, i need it at least a few times a week. i do eat many forms of protein.
i know i do try to stay away from empty cal and alot of sugar foods.

regarding diet soda, while it may not affect you Bee, Science says it does http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504763_162-20075358-10391704/new-study-is-wake-up-call-for-diet-soda-drinkers/ I was a die hard diet dr pepper drink till I read the Diabetes Journal report. I was absolutely stunned by the facts :( I miss Dr. Pepper

And I was a die hard sugar soda drinker, along with all sorts of processed grains and refined sugars. I guarantee if one starts to read labels and refuses to even taste something that includes those ingredients, and if they keep to normal to slightly less portions, and increase their activity level, the pounds will melt away. And it will be a lifestyle change, too, to keep it off. The good news is, your tastebuds will adjust and you won't crave that which makes you fat. My experience and opinion, only!!! I acknowledge yours is different Brynwolf, but I think too, because you probably have a high activity level... comparatively and/or more efficient metabolism..
MHO!!!
You can have pizza, just make healthy choices and limit quantity!!!
And move it, move it, move it! Zumba kicked my butt at that party... I lost 5 lbs and still kept it off, LOL
MHO!!!

I can not figure out why veggies make me hungry...grrr everyone say just eat more veg and it will fill you up! I call BS the more I eat the more my stomach ties itself into knots. But I know other people who eat them and say they are full. Weird how different our bodies are. In my case I am conditioned to eat only lye covered fish, tis in my genes LOL!!!!!!

My husband (Martin) was recently asked by a colleague who is struggling with his weight how Martin stays in such good shape and is able to eat absolutely anything he wants. Martin seriously thought about it for a minute and replied: "Get a bigger dog." Martin's secret is playing tug every day with Bosco - a 90 lb wildman. :)
