This guy left some instructions.....The steel frame is a spool used to bury underground cable. I used self tapping screws to fasten wood cross pieces. I then flexed 3/8 plywood and screwed the plywood to the cross pieces. Wasn't too tough of a project. Let me know if you have any other questions.

beetree, the last video you posted "Phil on the wheel".....looks like a great wheel, all except for the crosspiece bars. A dog could be seriously injured if it hit one of those bars while the wheel was in motion. I've known of pet rodents who were decapitated by their hamster wheels that had bars like that.
the puppy and swimming pool is too friggen cute!
