she was adopted by our Breeding female Veeay Freya, daughter of Gagarin von Bad Bol /lOtana von Bad Boll - I would say Breeder (Hans-Peter Rieker) has excellent temperament in his bloodlines.

Am curious if you find this temperament more indicitive of the females vs the males? Is it their nurturing gene or ??

Thanks for replies everyone, in the 2nd picture you have males and females, and their temperament towards the baby lamb is exactly the same, females same as males. If you put time and effort into training your german shepherds, as well as choosing exceptional bloodlines from Breeders who "have simply got it right" (Bad-Boll), you also will achieve what we have. German Shepherds will always have the instinct to be working dogs, (herding animals) that is the root of their very existance.

Not to hijack this thread but I was considering buying a Bad Boll dog and he was VERY aggressive with my cat. Almost ate him with one bite. Anything that was not a dog was fair game. SO kudo's to YOU for making your dogs docile and accepting of other animals. I dont think the lines are what makes YOUR dogs so special. YOU ARE!
