Our SchH club is looking into getting an aluminum A frame wall. Do any of you use them? If so do you like the aluminum walls better or worse than the wood ones?
For those of you that use the aluminum ones where did you get them?

P.S. - I did a search on the messageboard but the latest post was back in 2006.

Jyl,
We bought our aluminum A-frame from Active Dogs last year at the UScA Nationals in Kansas City.
I know oithers that have them, as well, and are very pleased.

Active Dogs is out of northern Wisconsin and they are very, very nice people to deal with.
The A-frame is awesome. Very portable, very easy to carry and very easy to set up and take down.
Our group trains at more than one location, so, having an a-frame that is so easy to bring with us wherever we go is very handy.
The one that we have is also very sturdy. We added some non-skid material to the aluminum bars that are along the upper portion of each side. I also think that you will find that the aluminum will hold up over time much better than one made out of wood.
Best of luck to you!

I have no idea if this really is an issue or not, but when I think aluminum it does concern me....
Aluminum tends to get really hot in the summer and really freezing cold in the winter.  Unless it's really well coated with something of high quality?  I don't know about these kinds of things......

All I remember as a kid is some nasty aluminum bleachers that we were all we had to sit on outside of school sometimes.

No issue.
The aluminum is covered with astro-turf just the same as on a wood a-frame.
