I got my girl Akyra from a rescue 2 years ago. I had been told she was GSD but have been wondering lately if she might not be Belgian Malinois based on photos and descriptions I've seen lately. She is high energy, lightning quick, very smart, and loves to play. I should state that I am not worried about her breed for reasons other than having the knowledge, and it would not surprise me if she was a mixed breed. I've attached a URL with recent photos of her and one when she was about 9 weeks old and 2 of her mother who was also at the rescue. Thanks in advance for the replies!

Babe was definitely German Shepherd. Akyra looks to be a German Shepherd mix, with what you can only guess unless you do a DNA test.

Maybe a GSD crossed witha Husky or Malamute.
But not Malinois at all.

If you choose to do the DNA test, do not choose the OTC test at the pet store. The slightly more expensive blood tests at the vet are a much better choice. The Belgian Malinois is rare enough that many inexpensive Saliva test kits do not have a broad enough database to detect Malinois DNA.
