Quite some people have frequently asked me for statistics showing the different HD-combinations and the outcome of their offspring.
As it proves to be impossible to copy/paste them here in an orderly fashion, I invite people interested to take a look at the numbers here:

Your comments are very much appreciated.

I used Google translation and it translated over 1/2 of it:

Very interesting reading, printed it so I can read it tonight at work while I am pushing buttons at the prison.

Jantie,
Have you thought about joining up with Fred lanting and having the both of you guys to write up a current book about canine HD/ED including other orthopedic problems?

The SV has all this info in their website I believe. Also, Jantie....your numbers are so different from that of the SV...and there is a lot to be said about the environment.
Genetics are only part of this...we need to remember this. Many other factors go into what ails our dogs!!!!

Quite correct, Neohaus. I do not wish to start a fire as we have been into this before, but it is important to bear in mind that there is NOT a predictable outcome of a breeding based upon parental hd status. The best we can do is breed low zw normal x normal and be careful with nutrition. As nz breedings are only marginally worse than fn breedings
while a significant difference occurs between fn and normal it is best to breed only normals. Also bear in mind that the zw scores are quite helpful in assessing the production of an animal. Jonah

Thanks Jonah....
I prefer to research the pedigree than go on a dog's merits alone. I feel "safer" that way.
At least one can say they did the best they could...this in my opinion is most important.
