I need to find a broker that can get a puppy cleared by customs for me, that does not charge an arm and a leg. Evidently going price is $400.
Customs told me last year every animal coming in needs a broker now, they're not dealing with anyone else.

Ellen Chance from Jean Duncan may be able to clear dogs in LA or Mike Andrel from Barthco

i just imported a dog from Germany and did the customs clearance myself (IAH), why is LAX forcing you to get a customs broker?

i just imported a pup from Austria in April and did it myself. No broker needed.
GSDPack on here can do it.

Rules have changed, call Ellen Chance, she is really good and I have used her myself.

SitasMom, Florida will not get a dog through without customs broker. Texas is still fine and looks like CA is doing the same.

I always use a broker asit is worth it to me for no delays or problems. People that do not use a broker one day will understand why a broker is well worth their fee. If you ship enough dogs one day it will happen. Overnight kennel at JFK is much more than the brokers fee and lessens my stress as well. JFK and LAX are not easy to clear customs. I use Ms Chance and have used Barthco who works with GK.

Ellen Chance cannot clear customs in LAX. She gave me a name but he does not do animals.
I was just told by another broker that I will need to get the 90 day Fish and Wildlife permit processing. WTF? I think no one knows what is going on!
Sitasmom, I have imported more than a couple dogs, hence US Customs asking me to use a broker from here on out.
