Chaos is doing better, but I don't think he's going to be a 100 % for a few weeks or more.  I do know that he's reallyyyy mad at us for making him live in the house!  Pouting big time.  Dr. said to find him a bone he really likes a lot so he can start chewing and working those jaw muscles again.  So far the 2 I've got for him, he wants nothing to do with!  So off to the store in a bit to find him his peanut butter filled bone that I know he absolutly LOVES, lol and maybe he will start chewing and licking on it.  He scared me again yesterday when his feet went out from underhim out in the yard when I took him out to potty.  He seems ok that way today.  I think he's still weak from his ordeal that he's went through over the past week.  It was a week ago today that we noticed he was sick and he went to the ER.  I'm praying that he feels a little better each day and I have my boy back soon : - )

Thanks : - )  And I will.  I have a question that I'm hoping someone will give me some ideas on.  The Dr. wants me to TRY to get Chaos to start chewing on something again to his his jaw muscles working again.  I have bought Chaos 3 different bones with one being his absolute favorite!  He isn't interested in ANY of them!  I even put peanut butter on the favorite one that's filled with peanute butter.  Still no luck : - (  His left eye is just about the same size as his right eye now, so that's great.  It's improving every day.  He layed out on the deck and watched me mow today, but was more than happy to get back inside in the air conditioning.  He's not sprawled out on the couch resting.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  I am putting hard kibble in with his soft food now, so he is chewing at least something.

My guess would be that his muzzle, tongue, & associated areas don't feel right to him, so he's not willing to use them yet, no matter how tempting the treat. And maybe he's having difficulty smelling or tasting? Did you try putting the bone in his food dish? If that doesn't work, you might try stimulating those areas yourself, massaging his muzzle, or brushing his teeth if he'll let you, just so he gets used to the new way his mouth & muzzle feels. No dog uses a limb that feels injured if he can help it, same thing for his mouth. Eating is a must, treats not so much. Good luck! jackie harris

Why don't you try him with long strips of tough meat cuts (muscle meat)

Thanks for the advice : - )  He actually picked up his bone after I put some peanut butter on the outside again.  He also ate a few small pieces of steak scraps and some peanut butter treats.  I have the paper work that shows what he had and still has.  Some one may have heard of it like Hexe had and maybe this will help someone else if their dog ends up having this.  They said it comes and goes and that they have NO idea how it happens.  I'll make a new post about just that.
