Is there a website like OFA where you can look up dogs that have German "A" stamp? And how do you register a tattoo and what should be a part of your tattoo (like kennel date of birth etc,)

Robin, you can go to the S.V.'s Zuchwert page at this address: http://www.schaeferhunde.de/site/index.php?id=688 . You will not be able to determine which quality (1,2,3, or 6) of "a" stamp that a dog has, but ou can find their ZW Nummer and that is indicative to some degree.
You can register a tattoo for sure through the S.V., U.S.c.A., and possibly through the G.S.D.C.A. and A.K.C. as well. Please note that I could well be wrong on those last two (2) entities, and have never tried them for this purpose.

If you search the messageboard for all of the posts related to tattoos, you will see that we covered this subject a lot during the past two (2) weeks.
