I agree. I thank goodness my relatives who live there were not in that theatre! What a tragedy for the victims and families. CO is having a gruesome time in its history with these types of massacres.

I want to know this: WHO takes a 4 MONTH OLD BABY to a midnight movie showing?????
One of the injured victims was just that--a 4 month old baby. His or her parents clearly are self-centered asshats who don't care about anything but themselves...not saying the baby deserved to be shot, but I'll betcha if this disaster hadn't happened, and the movie was being shown as planned, and this baby started fussing and crying, it's parents wouldn't have had the courtesy to take the kid out of the theatre, and more than a few people would have been wanting to do some harm to those parents!
Ditto for the young kids that were there...this is so NOT a movie meant for 8, 9, 10 year olds-, let alone 4 yr olds--it's rated PG13 for a reason. Had the parents of these youngsters kept the kids home where they belonged at midnight on a weeknight, they'd have been safe from this attack.
I am extremely curious as to what snapped the rubberband on the shooter's propeller...the preparations were clearly quite elaborate.
Coming soon, to a theatre near you: full body scanners.

Ya, and prolly DHS at every Gander Mountain and Pro Bass Shop from now on .. and that's if Pro Bass and Gander Mountain don't get banned from selling guns and ammo because of this.

He was a candidate for a PhD in Neuroscience....no dummy. Also booby-trapped his apartment. The news said he had a remote timer that started very loud music playing in his apartment, to incite someone to call in a noise complaint just before the shooting, the booby trap would have been sprung when law enforcement responded to the noise complaint & then following explosion, LEOs & EMTs would have been detoured to the other side of town, leaving fewer to respond to the theatre. Diabolical. And the picture of the shooter looked like someone totally satisfied with himself. Sickening.
I hope he is not given the satisfaction of continued media coverage beyond today, that his name fades away, lost. Instead I hope that the victims are remembered, & their families, who are suffering pain beyond belief.
My heart goes out to them.

Wow! That is very disturbing report. Much more disturbing than what Holmes did, not minimizing the horror of it. horrible that families have to pay for ulterior motive of the gov. Jessie Ventura needs to go to work on this.

Would those of you who defend the constitutional right to bear arms
PLEASE answer me one question ?
Who needs 'an assault rifle' for self defence ?
I mean I can understand, if not approve of, people buying a handgun for their bedroom drawer; or regular
hunters buying one shotgun or a rifle ...

Hundmutter, assault rifles have NOTHING to do with the constitutional right to bear arms. There was a ban on them until, I believe, second Bush lifted the ban. Who ever was in office at the time, it was a step in the wrong direction.

I wish they would stop showing pictures of the shooter. Gives me the creeps.
