callus on elbows - Page 1

We have a four month old male pup developing calluses on his elbows. What is the best way to counter this? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Callus usually developes from laying on hard rough surfaces.  I've seen it happen at a younger age, more often in larger boned and heavier puppies.  We always have a cushioned surface for our dogs and puppies to lay on.  This has helped us avoid calluses.  Hope this helps you or at least gives you an idea of what you can do.
