my male is on Mutton 250 gms in the evening and minced chicken meat with a vegetable stew(carrots/cucumber/raddishes/tomatoes) 250gms in the morning. thrice a week he is given Royal Canine. His water instake is minimal.
I noticed that sometimes his stools are clear logs but other times he shoots dry round pellets which sometimes do not eject out of the anus cleanly and gets stuck there. Result is he freaks out and starts rubbing his anus on the ground to clear the stool.
What should I give him to have a clear dry stool pass out. For his guts fora???
Please any inputs would be highly apprecited

Alphaisme, why not just feed the Royal Canin without any supplements from other foods and see how he does. I am not familiar with the Mutton 250 gms food and can't comment about it. An ocassional small bit of carrot is fine, but know that a dog cannot digest a lot of vegetables and fruits and has to pass them. Make sure that he has all of the water that he wants to drink.

I would agree this seems to be a dietary issue, fix the diet will fix the problem. Good Luck.

Why is his water intake minimal? If he is not drinking enough add water to his Royal Canin. Not enough water can bind any animal.

I did feed my dogs a raw diet at one time and the stool you are describing sounds like the dry stool you get when feeding raw. When my dogs would have too dry of a stool, I would add pumpkin to the veggie mush. This helps with constipation and moistens the stool.

If you want the carrot supplement in the diet, you may want to consider Olewo "pelleted" carrots. I feed Royal Canin, and in the morning meal I add Olewo carrot pellets and red beet chips with a tad of sunflower oil to the meal. No problems when the waste is expelled, and it is nice and firm.

Bob-O, I think that he is feeding 250 gms of Mutton, ie sheep ;)

Thanks VBK9. I thought about that myself, but also think that he is not in the U.S.A. hence me being unclear especially when it was capitalized and how it was presented. You have to forgive me, as I tend to read too much into anything!
250g of mutton is a tremendous amount of daily protein to digest especially if is is combined with some chicken. It sounds as if Alphaisme is using a form of raw diet on some days then using Royal Canin on others. I don't feed raw and have no experience with it, hence my suggestion to feed only the Royal Canin for a while and see how things go.

sorry I was out just got back and read all the replies.
250 grams human grade RAW goat meat with bones(RIBS) and meat. NO FAT.
Similarly in morning human grade chicken minced again totally minced, mixed with some veggies primarily carrot. Vegetables are in soup form mixed with raw chicken minced meat. I sometimes add olive oil one tablespoon but refrain to avoid making his diet too rich.
tell me what am I doing wrong? I don't stop him from drinking water he just does take minimal water ever since he was a puppy. Was never a water drinker. He can take skimmed curd water, but that makes his stomach totally lose!!
